Cosmópolis de David Cronenberg, seleccionada para competir en el Festival de Cine de Cannes
La película más esperada de David Cronenberg, protagonizada por Robert Pattinson tendrá su estreno mundial en el Festival de Cine de Cannes que va desde el 16 al 27 de mayo de 2012.
La película se reproducirán en la Competencia, en la sección más prestigiosa en el festival y está dentro de las películas que competirán por la Palma de Oro.
El nuevo proyecto de Cronenberg reúne a un elenco extraordinario, encabezado por Robert Pattinson en el papel principal, y algunas de las estrellas contemporáneas más sorprendentes, incluyendo a Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche, Kevin Durand, Samantha Morton, Mathieu Amalric, Jay Baruchel, Hampshire Emily y Patricia McKenzie .
El mundialmente famoso Howard Shore, compositor y ganador de un Oscar por el "Señor de los Anillos", banda sonora de la trilogía, también está involucrado en Cosmópolis, así como el director de fotografía habitual de David Cronenberg, Peter Suschitzky, conocido por sus trabajos en "El Imperio Contraataca" o Crash "".
Cosmópolis es una adaptación de la historia de Don DeLillo sobre un chico de un máximo de 28 años, multimillonario que atraviesa Manhattan por un corte de pelo.

David Cronenberg's COSMOPOLIS selected for Competition at the Cannes Film Festival
David Cronenberg’s much anticipated film starring ROBERT PATTINSON will have its World Premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival running from 16-27 may 2012.
The film will play in Competition which is the most prestigious section at the festival and is one of the films that will compete for the Palme D’Or.
Cronenberg’s new project assembled a remarkable cast, headed by Robert Pattinson in the leading role, and some of the most amazing contemporary stars, including Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche, Kevin Durand, Samantha Morton, Mathieu Amalric, Jay Baruchel, Emily Hampshire and Patricia Mckenzie.
World famous Howard Shore, and Oscar winner composer for the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy soundtrack, is also involved in COSMOPOLIS, as well as David Cronenberg’s regular cinematographer, Peter Suschitzky, renowned for his works in “Empire Strikes Back” or “Crash”.
COSMOPOLIS is an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s story about a 28 year-old billionaire who crosses Manhattan for a haircut.
